These two images show two different ways in which I experimented with the position of the title of the film and the tagline. Poster 1 shows the title written across the page with the tagline written sideways. Poster 2 shows the tagline placed across the page, quite a bit above the production credits, with the title of the film slanted at an angle above the tagline. I tried this because it kind of gave the effect of being stamped on and helped make the page look less sharp and linear, to give a bit of effect. I decided to proceed with poster 1 because I preferred and also members of the target audience said that poster 1 looked better.

Idea 1: Idea 2:

I looked at the production credits for Indiana Jones so that I could get a sense of what is included in the production credits. In Microsoft Word, I then made a list of what needs to be included. I then created my own production credits.

This screen shot shows how I initially set up Photoshop so that my poster was the correct size, which is A4.

After setting the page to A4, I opened my image. Because my image wasn’t A4, I had to resize it.

Idea 1 shows the title written across the page with the tagline written sideways. Idea 2 shows the tagline placed across the page, quite a bit above the production credits, with the title of the film slanted at

I decided to proceed with idea 1 because I preferred the way it looked over idea 2 and also, members of the target audience said that idea 1 looked

better.

These two images show how I experimented with the text format of the tagline, title of film, release date and production credits. First of all, in the first image (idea 1), the tagline is a bit difficult to read as the size of the text is too small and it has been positioned too near to the edge of the page. I changed this by moving the tagline in alignment with the title of the film and I also increased the size of the text and made it bold. The

release date in the second image stands out more after I made it bold and increased the size a little bit. The title of the film stands out more and dominates the page a bit more after I increased the size of it and moved

it up so that there is a bigger gap between the production credits and the title. The fact that the title dominates the page is quite good because people will get drawn into the name of the film which may

encourage them to watch it.
