    Retains back-head, cylinder and front-head together.All the threads are die-rolled to maintain material flow.

    When one through bolt is failed, replace diagonally opposed through-bolt also.To re-torque through-bolts, loosen four of them to turn, and re-torquethem to the specification.

    The largest single part of the breaker. It is machined, thenheat-treated and polished to the specification.

    Reserves pressure oil and absolves pressure spike when piston is at top deadcenter and bottom dead center. It is Nitrogen filled.F11and up,diaphragms can be replace with hand tools.

    When diaphragm is damaged, inlet hose will vibrates and brake power willbe decreased.

    Transmits dynamic power toward the rod and rod will break object rock.Surface of the piston is super finished. Not chrome plated.

    Surface of the piston is only protected by the oil film from rusting.

    Front-head is installed 3 wear bushings named thrust ring, thrust bushing andfront-cover. They hold the rod in-line to the piston.

    Front-Cover/Bushing

    Front-Cover/Bushing holds rod and it is exposed to the dusty condition.Grease lubrication is a keyfor maintenance.

    For F11 and larger breakers, front-cover is provided with wear indicating recess.Advise operator to replace front cover before recess is wear out.Use of worn front cover can damage rod head or piston striking face .

    Rod

    Four different kind of rods are available for different rock conditions.

    Flat(blunt)rodFlat tip design rod, common for shot rock breaking. Used for hard butcracked rock. Rod breaks rock with shock wave.Because of flat face, rod will not slip during breaking.

    Moil point / corn rodConical tip is named corn rod and square dipyramid is named moil pointrod. Commonly used for breaking of concrete, rock layers, hard foundationand road construction. Sharp point can penetrate well against the rockwith wedge effect.

    Wedge pointChisel design tip is named wedge point.. Wedge effect of the tip willpenetrate into the object rock. Good for trenching, breaking of layeredrock. It is not recommended to use for hard rock.

    Core rodFitted hard alloy steel bar in the moil point rod. This rod is onlyrecommended for abrasive rock.
