• Has served as a project manager for a construction firm and has personally worked on multiple projects throughout Broward County ensuring building code compliance and that Broward County minimum standards are met.

• Several years of Local District 4 CEI experience to the Team and has inspected such projects as: • Atlantic Boulevard from SR-7 to east of SR-849• Sample Road from NW 54th Ave. to Tradewinds Park Rd. • SR-7 (US-441) from Sample Rd. to Johnson Rd.

• Has experience and knowledge coordinating with Broward County Transit’s Arethia Douglas, P.E.

• He has successfully participated and closed out several projects as a Sr. Inspector with perfect final estimates.

• Vast experience with closing out projects checking progress payments and is Final Estimates Level II certified.

• He brings vast amount of experience in dealing with bus shelter construction, cost savings initiatives, work order and supplemental agreements and has covered every aspect of roadway construction as it relates to this bus stop infrastructure improvement program.

• Experienced and able to assist Mr. Viola with progress meetings and issue resolution.

• Years of Experience: 10+• Has local experience in Broward County and will be a tremendous asset

to the project. • Currently serving on Broward Counties (R1261804P1) for Wiles Rd. from

Rock Island Rd to SR7. • Inspected several projects throughout Broward County on projects such

as:• Andrews Ave. Ext. from Pompano Park Place to South of Atlantic Blvd. • Commercial Blvd. from West of White Oak Lane to East of NW 49th Ave.

• Has experience and knowledge coordinating with Broward County Transit’s Arethia Douglas, P.E.

Project Over View

• The project involves Broward County Transit bus stop infrastructure construction on urban arterials.

• Broward County has 4,570 bus stops but only 1,100 bus shelters – or one out of four. And only 1,400 bus stops have benches. Project needed to make it more comfortable and increase ridership.

Potential Issues

• Abiding by the many different City requirements for the many different designs.

• In Plantation, they’re brick and homey. In Weston, they’re green and modern. In Lauderdale Lakes, they sport wide columns and a Mediterranean-style roof. In Fort Lauderdale they are Silver and white in in North Lauderdale…etc.

• Shelter examples include:• Shelters may include solar panels, LED lighting, rear and side perforated

windscreens, schedule holder and benches. All staff is ISMA certified. • Must Meets Buy America and ADA requirements.• Meet 175 MPH wind loads. • FDOT Permits (Florida Department of Transportation’s One Stop

Permitting) and local permits from the many cities.

Potential Issues

• Shop Drawing Review and Approval.• A completeness check of the submittals will be

performed prior to forwarding to the EOR for review.• It is extremely important to ensure a quick turnaround

as there may be items that have long lead times.

Potential Issues MOT Lane Closures / Noise Ordinance

• Proposed Staff are both Certified Advance MOT for checking lane closure and MOT setup.

• Single lane closure may be needed to facilitate concrete pours and shelter installations.

• Sidewalk closures and detours.• Dropoff conditions and project site safety checks.

• Contractor may need to obtain a special permits from the local Cites for such things as noise ordinance during specified times of construction.

• Coordination with Home Owner Associations and Business Owners as to minimize the impacts to the bus ridership and businesses.

Potential Issues Environmental

• The silt fence, inlet protection and outfall protection will be inspected regularly to avoid any contamination of construction material into the environmental sensitive areas.

• We will monitor field conditions daily and direct the Contractor accordingly. Jobsite cleanliness will be a topic of discussion during the regular progress meetings.

• Environmental Permits( Administration, compliance and closeout )

Public Coordination

• F&J will institute a proactive Public Involvement effort to ensure all project stakeholders are kept informed of upcoming lane closures and Bus Stop reroute.

• This is extremely important as there are major potential impacts to important stake holders such as business owners, property managers, homeowner associations and schools.

Technologies used to perform the service

• F&J has implemented the use of WhatsApp for real time communication of potential issues and project updates of progress.

• Dropbox for large file transfers.• Cloud base server for project files.• Tablets with all contract documents preloaded and ability to

search instantaneously.

• Local QA/QC oversight• Francis Chin Sr. P.E. (45 Yrs Experience) • Initial and bi-annual reviews of the Team to evaluate resources, equipment,
