History Of Taman Negara

1925 – an area of Pahang were officially known as Gunung Tahan Game Reserve by

the British Colony

1938 - Sultan of Pahang, Terengganu & Kelantan set the area aside for conservation

and known as “King George V National Park”

1957 – Malaysia gained independence and it was renamed as Taman Negara (Malaysia’s Premier

National Park)
