What  is  our  Story?  

1974:  Consorcio  Aéreo  is  founded  by  Mr.  Jorge  Díaz  de  Bedoya  (now  Chairman)  as  a  full  service  Ground  Handling  Agent  for  Air  Cargo  Carriers,  pioneering  this  service  in  the  country,  covering  mostly  regional  and  Miami  based  carriers.    

1996  :  Consorcio  integrates  LAN  Chile  and  affiliated  companies,  serving  as  Ground  Handling  Agent,  GSA  (General  Sales  Agent)  and  country  representaQve.  Soon  aRer,  AMC  (US  Air  Force)  would  follow,  as  well  as  other  non-­‐regular  carriers.  Consorcio  is  posiQoned  as  main  FBO  (Fixed  Base  Operator)  in  the  country.    

2004  :  Consorcio  Cargo  &  Logis0cs  is  formed  aRer  several  years  of  personal  relaQonship  with  3PL  &  4PL  internaQonal  companies,  such  as  UQ,  Danzas  AEI  (formerly  DHL  Global  Forwarding),  Geodis  Wilson,  Excel,  and  others  who  also  found  a  pioneering  company  in  Freight  Forwarding  and  LogisQcs  in  Consorcio.  

2010  :  Consorcio  Events  is  born  by  joining  forces  with  experienced  partners  from  Northern  ArgenQna,  as  Paraguay  begins  to  see  a  boom  in  ConvenQons  and  InternaQonal  Events.  Immediately,  Consorcio  obtains  valuable  service  partnerships  with  the  Conmebol  ConvenQon  Center  in  Asuncion  and  5  star  Hotel  Brands.  

2011  :  Consorcio  Travel  is  born  as  a  Wholesale  Tourism  Operator,  with  an  experienced  staff  from  within  the  Consorcio  family,  having  worked  in  airline  sales  &  service,  airport  and  counter  services,  and  other  tourism  related  enterprises.  Immediately,  Travel  posiQons  itself  as  top  5  Wholesale  Operators  in  the  country.    

2011:  Consorcio  Trade  &  Ship  Brokers  is  born  as  the  Paraguay  river  system  (Hidrovia)  begins  to  flourish  in  opportunity  for  logisQcs,  brokerage,  project  cargo  &  commercial  services.    

2009  :  ARer  years  of  serving  the  Commercial  Air  Carriers  flying  into  Paraguay,  Consorcio  Avia0on  is  formed  to  incorporate  customers  such  as  World  Fuel  Services  (Baseops),  Rockwell  Collins,  and  other  ExecuQve  &  VIP  operators,  and  take  and  internaQonal  dimension,  providing  service  also  in  other  countries  in  South  America.  

We  have  become  the  foremost  group  in  Paraguay  when  it  comes  to  internaQonal  commerce  &  trade  related  services,  diversifying  our  scope  across  the  board  and  yielding  “experts”  at  pracQcally  everything…  If  we  can’t  then  we  will  tell  you  who  can.
