PARA EVITAR DAÑAR LA CANTIMPLORA (bolsa de agua):1. No apretar la cantimplora (bolsa de agua) o exprimir la bolsa.

2. Lavar el filtro con frecuencia y con mucha fuerza. Debe de traer con usted una Jeringa o destapador en cada uno de sus viajes, especialmente si es de varios días. Es importante que el primer lavado sea suficientemente fuerte, para que limpie toda las fibras. Para no crear vías de menos resistencia. Las fibras no pueden ser expuestas al agua con temperatura mayor de 140F/60C.

3. No sobre apriete el filtro en la cantimplora (bolsa de agua). Sobre apretar puede causar que el anillo de goma se pueda incrustar en la rosca o se interponga en la abertura de la cantimplora. Si el anillo de goma está fuera de lugar, puede que no esté bien enroscado, creando así la posibilidad de que exista una fuga de agua en la parte baja del filtro.

Con la nueva tecnología, puede tomar un tiempo aprender el mejor uso. Hasta que usted aprenda el balance perfecto entre fuerza y limpieza, le recomendamos llevar una bolsa extra de repuesto en su viaje. Cantimploras (bolsas de agua) dañadas por errores de usuario no están cubiertas bajo la garantía de Sawyer.

Sawyer filters offer the highest level of filtration available, therefore they remove more seen and unseen particulates than most people are used to filtering. Even water that looks sparkling clear can actually be loaded with very fine particulates. The Sawyer squeeze pouches are rugged but not indestructible. They can tear as a result of too much pressure being applied. This occurs when you try to force water through the filter too fast or when your filter needs cleaning and is creating more resistance.

TO AVOID BREAKING YOUR POUCH:1. Do not squeeze the pouch too hard or wring the pouch.

2. Backwash the filter more often and with more force. You should bring the lightweight syringe with you on your trip, especially if you are on a multi-day trip. It is important that the first backwash is strong so that it cleans out all of the fibers rather than creating paths of least resistance. Fibers cannot be exposed to water above 140F/60C.

3. Don´t over tighten the filter on the pouch. Over tightening can cause the O-rings to embed into the threads or lodge into the opening of the pouch. If the O-ring is out of place you may not have a tight seal and water could leak out the bottom of the filter.

With all new technology, it takes time to learn how to best use it. Until you learn the perfect balance of force and cleaning, we recommend bringing a backup pouch with you on your trip. Pouches broken due to user error are not covered under the Sawyer warranty.

COMO FUNCIONA / HOW IT WORKSDe la tecnología utilizada en diálisis medica, el mini filtro con membrana de fibra hueca, de 0.1 micras en total, utiliza un grupo de tubos micro fibrosos. El agua es dirigida a través de las paredes al lado de los tubos, hacia el centro vacío y sale por el final del tubo. From technology used in medical dialysis, the 0.1 micron absolute filter uses a cluster of micro-fibrous tubes. Water is drawn through the side walls of the tubes into their hollow centers and out through the ends of the tubes, while harmful bacteria and protozoa are trapped on the outer walls of the tubes.v

Paso 3 - Haga un agujero en la cubetaStep 3 - Drill a hole in the bucket

- Power drill not required. This can be done by hand. Drill 22mm (13/16”) hole in the side of the bucket by twisting the hole cutter about 38mm (1.5”) from the bottom of the bucket. This height will prevent sediment from entering the filter.

Paso 4 - Prepare el adaptadorStep 4 - Prepare the adapter

- Desatornille el adaptador macho del adaptador hembra.- Remueva el anillo del adaptador macho.

- Unscrew the male adapter from the female adapter.- Remove the o-ring from the male adapter.

- Place the o-ring onto the threads on the outside of the bucket and screw the female adapter back on the male threads.

- Levante el filtro sobre la cubeta para detener el fluido del agua cuando no la use, sostenga el filtro con el gancho en el lado superior de la cubeta.

- Raise the filter above the bucket to stop the filter water flow. When not in use, place the filter in the hanger and hang on the side of the bucket.

- Llene la cubeta con agua y coloque el filtro hacia abajo para iniciar el flujo de agua.

- Add water to the bucket and lower the filter head below the bottom of the bucket to start the water flow.
