Music

In music this year we have been learning about various topics like notation, drama and playing instruments plus heaps more. Drumming to ‘Titanium’ was great fun and drama in groups was also brilliant, Me, Mark, Joe, Nic and Matt did a war story, it was very enjoyable. Music this year has been excellent and also a massive thank-you to Mrs. Riddiford for teaching us this year.

Italian

This year in Italian we have studied a lot of things like the Olympics, Tuscany and heaps more. My highlight would have to be when we studied Tuscany, one of Italy’s largest regions. This was really helpful because I barely knew anything about Tuscany. Italian this term has been great and also a big thank-you to Mrs. Senora Senzo for teaching us this year.

MathsIn maths this year we have been very busy,

learning about addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Math is not my greatest thing, so it is crucial for me to practise at home. My highlights were probably making mocktails with juice, pacman and Frank coming in to tell us about the stock market. Maths this year has been great and a huge thank-you to Mrs. Gridley for teaching us this year.

P.E

This year in sport we have been playing various types of sports like Soccer, Cricket, Basketball and many more. I absolutely love sport so this is one of my favourite subjects in school. Some of the highlights from this year would be Kanga cricket, soccer tournament and the beep test. Sport has been unbelievable this year and also a massive thanks to Mr. Campbell for teaching us this year.

Literacy/Writing

This year in literacy and writing we have been at work with writing stories and watching clips for inspiration. Also sentence starters and pictures as other inspiration. My highlight from the year would probably be watching clips from the literacy shed. They are all a mixture of weird, scary and touching, so it was enjoyable. Once again another thank-you to Mrs. Gridley for teaching us in this subject this year.

Religion

This year in religion we have been studying various topics and characters from the bible. From the Jesse tree to St. Timothy, I have learnt heaps this year and my knowledge is still building. My highlight would be researching St. Timothy. I barely knew anything about him so it was helpful finding out heaps about him. And last but not least thank-you to Mrs. Gridley for teaching us heaps in this subject.

ReadingThis year in Reading groups we have had a great

time reading interesting, fun, and exiting books. Doing this has really boosted my reading confidence. I’ve read Jamil’s shadow, Too small to fail and Monkey Mountain. My favourite book that I read would be Too Small to Fail. It has a great storyline and is well written. Once again a thank-you to Mrs. Yore and Mrs. Gridley for organising it.

Camp this year was one of the highlights of my year. This was a time to face your fears and spend a few days out of your comfort zone. I did the giant swing, abseiling, the adventure bridge and many more. My highlight would probably be the giant swing. It was a great experience, the sight and the drop. Camp was unbelievable and again a massive thank-you to all the teachers who looked after us.

Reflection

2012 has been a year that I won’t forget. And would not be the same without my awesome teacher and class. And for the last time (I promise) a massive thank-you to all the teachers that made everything possible. I hope you’ve enjoyed the year as much as I have, and good luck to all those who are moving schools and going to high school.

Thank-You
