.

Well done Room 1 !

Connor labelled his creation ‘a very strange

parent’. We think he did great work and

love his creativity!

Hi all,

WOW – we are nearly half way through the 2021 school year!

Individual Learning Plans (ILP’s) and Curriculum Reports will be

sent home with students tomorrow, Wednesday the 23rd of

June. We hope that both of these documents will provide you

with some information on how your child has progressed this

semester. Next term families will have the opportunity to meet

with teachers and where required allied health staff to discuss

their child’s progress further and adjust any necessary goals.

Term 2 finishes this Friday the 25th at 2pm. If your child catches

a bus home they will arrive home an hour earlier than usual

on Friday.

Despite a lockdown and a ‘little’ wet weather we have had

of late, we have managed to have a wonderful term.

Students have engaged and been involved in a range of

fabulous inside and outside learning experiences both within

school and out in our community allowing them the chance

to develop a range of skills. I hope these holidays provide

many opportunities to spend time with family and friends and

that all students, families and staff enjoy a well-earned rest.

Take Care and we look forward to seeing you all

back in July and ready to go for Term 3.

Have a Great Week & Keep Smiling,

Room 19 has a fantastic excursion last week to the Warragul Cinema. They had a

behind the scenes tour and then watched Peter Rabbit 2. Kylie was so impressed with

the students who displayed our school values so beautifully by being excellent

!

Creative Working – Week Six

I can’t believe the term is almost over – time flies

when you’re having fun with art!

This week the students painted the last of their

clay sculptures and did really well as some parts

of the models were extremely fiddly to get to.

The results were fantastic as you can see!

I have been bringing my record player to each class so I thought it would be nice to

extend that into our art projects. There may be a vinyl revival but there are still heaps of

old LPs in the op shops that people have thrown away so I grabbed a few and in our

Friday classes we painted on them! As inspiration I printed out some great album cover

designs from old jazz and big band compilations right through to Pink Floyd and AC/

DC but I don’t think they were needed as the students were full of ideas. I reckon the

revamped LPs will look great all displayed together as one big wall of abstract art.

Don’t worry Thursday classes - you get your turn on the vinyl this week!

Another part of our musical project is to create a playlist of our favourite

songs that the students can listen to on Spotify. So don’t forget to let

me know this week what track you’d like on there – staff as well!
