Who, What, When, Where
•You and about 20 students.•Making connections to each
other.•20 Minutes between 2nd and
3rd period daily.• In your classrooms (or
locations as assigned).
Why
•To create a connection to and with students.
•Become a mentor.•Provide tools, direction, &
ideas.–without doing it for them.
•Allow for the feeling of community, safety, & belonging.
How
•The first two weeks will be about:–Getting to know our students–Letting them get to know us–Building trust–Setting norms–Establishing group reflection–HAVING FUN!!!!!
How•Daily activities will be planned. These
should be listed in your lesson plans.
• Map It Out Monday – Goal Setting• On TargetTuesday – Academic Focus• Willis Wednesday – Character Building• Think it Through Thursday – Problem
Solving/Critical Thinking• Reflective Friday – Class Meetings
It is all about building a path together to where we want to be. A community that succeeds and cares TOGETHER.
