PyConES is the main Python conference in Spain.

PyConES is the main Python conference in Spain. After fi ve

successful editions in Madrid, Zaragoza, Valencia and Almería,

the fi fth edition of PyConES will be held from 5-7 of October in

Málaga following the format of the global PyCon event.

The conference will take place at the “Teatinos Technology

Complex of the University of Málaga” (School of Computer

Engineering and the School of Telecommunications) and will be

organized by a joint effort between the Python Spain association,

the local Python community, ‘Yes We Tech’ and Ebury.

PyConES is a three-day conference where professionals and Python programming language enthusiasts share their experience through many technical talks.

Because of its nature, PyConES audience come not

only from tech sectors like web development, business

intelligence or game development but also from the

academic world, being useful for many teachers and

researchers.

In this edition these tracks are being considered: web

development, data science / big data, core (language),

science, education, GIS, visualization, devops, security,

ERP, art…

The PyConEs 2018 will be hosted by the university of Malaga (UMA), which actually offers to their 30.000 students a total of 141 offi cial studies.

The event will be placed in ‘’Completo Tecnológico Teatinos’’, where is located the technical school of informatic engineer (ETSI) and the technical school of telecommunications engineering (ETSIT).

Both sites, pioneers in the informatic university studies offert in Andalucía, have by mission and goal the trainee of professionals in all the engineer senses. Since its foundation in 1987 and 1988, the schools keep an active collaboration with their social and economical environments though the investigation projects and contracts of tecnologic transfers that their people and investigators develop.

Malaga is worldwide known by the plenty of beaches and perfect atmosphere for spending the holidays in “La costa del Sol”, with more than 1,3 M of tourists per year, it also offers a plenty of cultural and business possibilities, and a consolidated infrastructure for the companies and professionals in the tech area, located in the University, and also in the city center and in “Parque tecnologico de Andalucia’’. It is the fifth city in Spain in numbers of habitants, and its population is around 568.000 people, although the metropolitan area is close to one million.

In addition, getting there is easy and accessible with a multitude of connections by airport, train, port or highway / highway. PyConES is an initiative of Python Spain association, a non-profit organization established in 2013 by volunteers around the country. Its aims are to promote the use of Python programming language in Spain, to be a meeting point for people interested in it and to support them to the best of their abilities.

The 2018 edition is possible thanks to the volunteers and the local community in Malaga - Malaga Python, Yes We Tech and Ebury with the Python Spain Association - which they are carrying out this year to make the conference a success.
