What we are building on
The 2015-18 NLTP in Northland
$460m forecast total investment, including…• $194m for local roads maintenance & operations, up 22% (all
NZ up 6%)• WDC 3rd highest increase in NZ, and FNDC 5th highest
• $117m for state highway maintenance & operations, up 24% (all NZ 6%)• 2nd highest regional increase
• $90m for state highway improvements (could be more)• $37m for local road improvements• $6m for public transport services and improvements• $5m for specific cycling and walking improvements• $5m for road safety promotion
A significant investment package to connect Northland:
• Appropriate levels of service = predictable journeys• Network resilience improvements = more reliable journeys• Network safety improvements = safer journeys• Network efficiency improvements = improved travel times
