R&D NEWS

On the completion of the fruitful and exciting on year of the R&D newsletter, I am glad to foreword its 1st issue of the 2nd volume. . R&D newsletter has been serving as platform to share your research centric achievements with colleagues where feedback can be helpful to enhance your R&D spectrum.

In last few years, R&D in UPES is actively convoluted with variety of research domains ranging from basic science to applied and industry oriented research. The development and advancement of the performance, capability and functionality of material, devices, fuels and architectures well beyond what can be achieved with conventional research has been one the motives for R&D @UPES. R&D has recorded exceptional growth in terms of publications and funding from several national and international bodies.

It is highly and essentially important to maintain the quality of research in order to match with global standard and develop UPES as truly nation building university. More weight must be put on reproducible unique research ideas for rapid technical progress and reputation. We must put our best foot forward for assessing the originality and accurate referencing of related published work with the support from R&D@ UPES. It is my firm belief that UPES has potential and caliber to deliver to become an exemplary research and innovation led university.

R&D award ceremony and retreat of this year has provided an excellent path to connect, create and collaborate. The efforts of editorial board of newsletter are highly appreciated to work tirelessly to assemble all the relevant information as R&D news. I wish all the success to our research community to glow their R&D landscape during the next quarter.
