Lucerne City, Lucerne Tourism, Business Development Lucerne and Lucerne Hotels offer
financial support to congresses, which take place in Lucerne.
How it worksThe allocation of subsidies is regulated by a commission comprised of organisations which are financially involved. Applications for subsidies have to be sent to the Lucerne Convention Bureau. The application form can be downloaded at: business.luzern.com/congress
Minimum requirements– The duration of the congress must be a minimum of 1.5 days and include an overnight stay in a hotel in the official program. – The minimum number of participants attending the congress is 100. – Events must primarily be carried out in a confererence centre, which is a member of the Lucerne Convention Bureau. The overnights should also be booked in hotels which are partners of LCB (list under business.luzern.com).– New or first-time congresses will be given priority for the granting of the subsidies.

Subsidy amountThe calculation of the subsidy amount is based on the number of overnight stays in hotels in Lucerne:
100 – 150 overnight stays: CHF 2’000.–
151 – 300 overnight stays: CHF 3’000.–
301 – 400 overnight stays: CHF 4’000.–
401 – 600 overnight stays: CHF 5’000.–
601 – 1’000 overnight stays: CHF 6’500.–
1’001 – 1’999 overnight stays: CHF 8’000.–
More than 2’000 overnight stays: CHF 12’000.–
The base amount can be increased by 75 percent when the congress is held between
November 1st and April 30th.

Quid pro quo– Partners have the possibility of publishing image advertising (1/1 page) in dossiers given to congress attendees (e.g. booklet).– Relevant partners (Lucerne City, LCB, Business Development Lucerne, Lucerne Hotels) are granted a link on the congress website whenever possible.– Partners are given visual presence during the congress, which may include an information stand, and are able to attend the congress personally.

Under its expansive, overarching roof, the
KKL Luzern hosts a wide range of cultural,
conferencing and gastronomic events and
activities. The KKL Luzern is easily accessible
by public transport. From Lucerne Railway
station, it’s only a 5 minute walk under shelter
to reach the location.
The showpiece of the KKL Luzern is the
Concert Hall, the accoustics of which ensure
unforgettable musical moments and which
also offers varied presentation possibilites for
conferences. The Lucerne Hall is framed by
two water channels. It is perfect for product
presentations, conventions, concerts and
banquets.

The Lucerne Exhibition Centre / Messe
Luzern is the biggest event venue in Central
Switzerland. A surface area of 15’000 square
metres, four pillar-free trade fair and event
halls, three forums and a foyer provide plenty
of space for trade fairs, corporate events and
concerts. Organisers benefit from freedom
and flexibility in terms of technology,
furnishings and catering, as well as a location
that is quick and easy to get to. Located just
two minutes by rapid transit train (S-Bahn)
from Lucerne station, the Lucerne Exhibition
Centre provides facilities for up to 5’000
people.

The Swiss Museum of Transport is not only
the most popular museum in Switzerland,
it also has a modern conference centre
comprising a conference hall, three seminar
rooms and a spacious foyer (maximum
capacity of 600 people). The four museum
halls can be used exclusively outside
museum opening hours for an aperitif or
evening meal (maximum capacity of 1’500
people). The Museum of Transport is easy to
reach in just a few minutes by rail, bus or
boat.
