Sacks Elul Program—Save The Date
On Shabbos September 9th, B’nai Torah will be hosting
the annual Sarah and Sol Sacks Memorial Elul Program.
Dr. David Sanders will be the featured speaker. The
topics of discussion are: ‘Torah, the Jewish Tradition,
and Science—Can they be reconciled?’, and ‘Should Jews
seek elected political office?’ See pg. 4 for further
information.
Sarah and Sol Sacks valued learning, especially since
their own education was interrupted by the Holocaust!
Their son Marvin noted that they would be especially
proud to host such a tremendous educational opportunity
as the month long Elul program.
A Clean Slate
We all look forward to having a clean slate when we ask
G-d for forgiveness during the High Holiday Season.
Please wipe your slate clean, and pay off your
outstanding balances owed to the shul.
High Holiday Seats
As we approach Chodesh Elul, it is time to turn our
minds toward preparing for the High Holidays. Contact
the office to reserve your seats for the High Holidays.
