As of this past Monday, December 15th, the shul has completed the process of consolidating both properties, 1587 Route 27 and 9 Campbell Avenue, into one property, and receiving tax exempt status for the combined properties starting in January 2015. This laborious and sometimes excruciating process could not have been accomplished without the hard work of the Board and Mr. Daniel Lasar, Esq. We thank everyone who participated in the various stages of the Building Campaign and look forward to launching the next phase(s) in the not-too-distant future! Please stay tuned for more details.

HATZOLAH OF EDISON is parking an ambulance in one designated spot in our parking lot. Please do not park in or in front of this spot, which is clearly marked. Hatzolah and AY thank you for your cooperation and assistance.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE PLAYROOM: We need adult volunteers to oversee the playroom activities on Shabbos and ask any parents whose children frequent the playrooms to volunteer for a week. We would like to start a rotation of parents to help oversee the playroom regularly so the same parents are not responsible each and every week. If you are interested in volunteering or your children frequent the playroom on Shabbos, please email [email protected] to volunteer for a Shabbos.

RECORDS UPDATE: The Gabbaim request that members input all family lifecycle events on the website. A report is run weekly of these events, which helps the Gabbaim to distribute kibbudim and aliyahs. If you require assistance entering data, please speak with Chezkie Mark. You can email the Gabbaim at [email protected].

The Sofer will be at Judaica Gallery, 300 Raritan Avenue, this Sunday, December 21, 2014 to check mezzuzot and tefillin. Store hours are 10am to 5pm. Although walk-ins are welcome, it is helpful if you call 732-828-7722 and let us know you will be coming. If you need the sofer to check mezzuzot in your home, please call the store,732-828-7722, to set up an appointment.

CNJKIDS Accepts Gifts of Stocks, Bonds and Mutual Fund- The transfer of appreciated assets allows donors to support CNJKIDS while reducing exposure to capital gains taxes. Donors are also able to claim immediate income tax deductions for these gifts. ORTHODOX FORUM Come hear from the Av Bet Din of The International Bet Din for Agunot, Rabbi Simcha Krauss, as headlined in the “The Jewish Week”. Chaim Saiman, Professor of Law, Villanova University, will discuss, “Evolution vs. Revolution in Jewish Law” and Rabbi Dr. Jeremy Weider, Rosh Yeshiva, Yeshiva University, will present, “A Response to the New Bet Din”. A Yom Iyun on December 25 presented by the Orthodox Forum of Edison/Highland Park will include all of this as well as a breakfast and lunch. The program follows the 8:00 Minyan at Congregation Ahavas Achim. The cost is $20/person and registration by December 20 is required by emailing [email protected] . RPRY SCHOLARSHIP FUND BREAKFAST: The Annual Toby Mayer Memorial Scholarship Fund Breakfast will take place Sunday morning, December 28, 2014 at 9:30AM. This year's Educational Excellence Award will be presented to Mrs. Emily Menasha.The breakfast is the premier event of RPRY's annual scholarship fund campaign, which helps the Yeshiva continue its mission to provide a Jewish day school education to every Jewish child, regardless of the family's ability to pay.
