The curriculum at the Academy for the months of April 2019- July 2019 takes into account the following aspects for Early Years Education (EYE): Using play-way and activity methods as a basis for teaching children Using formal and informal interactions with children to acquaint them with the school, irrespective of whether they are first time school goers or new students in an older class Introducing new as well as practicing familiar routines with children to give them more confidence Encouraging new experiences, instead of forcing expertise to read and write Ensuring age appropriate development in terms of physical development and environmental awareness Inclusion of health and hygiene by inculcating a healthy habits regimen. A.) LISTENING & UNDERSTANDING/SOCIAL SKILLS: RECEPTIVE SKILL

1. Greets the teachers and school staff - every morning Good Morning Ma'am/Baiji/Bhaiya ji etc. [doesn't repeat the same greeting if he/she meets in the afternoon / outside school in the evening and understands the difference between day & night] and is able to do a firm handshake.

2. Is able to follow one to two simple oral instructions:

A) Greetings and Meeting: The student understands the importance of greeting the time. At this stage she/he associates the phrase GOOD MORNING MA'AM. Can also differentiate between morning, afternoon and evening.

B) The Morning Assembly Routine : Standing in a line/walking to class in a line/reciting a prayer/maintaining silence.

C) Class Routine:

Placing bags/bottles in a row.

Washing hands before and after meals

Usage of table mat and apron before meals

Wipe the mouth with a napkin or handkerchief

B.) SPEAKING & VOCABULARY BUILDING: PRODUCTIVE SKILL

1. The child communicates his/her needs by raising the hand.

2. Recalls letters A-Z and can fill in the missing letters orally

3. Recalls the concept of Vowels (a,e,I,o,u)

4. Is able to understand the concept of number line through an abacus
