Dear Parent and Carers, I do hope everyone had a lovely Easter break with family and friends and I am sure the students are refreshed and ready for term 2. Although it was a short week, we have had a smooth start to the term .It was wonderful to see the students well settled and engaged in their work when I walked around the school on Tuesday morning. We look forward to another term of learning and celebration. I wish to thank all of you who joined us in our school assembly at the end of last term. It was great to acknowledge the achievements of some of our students who received their awards with much pride. Congratulations to the following students who received the Principal’s Achievement Award: Akual Madut- for excellent work in Numeracy in the Primary Learning Area Joel Abrogar - for excellent work in Numeracy in the Secondary Learning Area Sarah Mekonen - for excellent work in Visual Arts (Specialist subjects) Congratulations also to Eva Egry and David Jok who were the recipients of the Term PBS awards. Teaching and Learning This term we continue to focus on building the capacity of staff to support the students to improve their numeracy skills whilst communication remains another area of high priority. Students at the school will also be learning about how things move. The Learning Area leaders will keep you posted on what activities students will be doing in their teams and classrooms. ANZAC Day This pivotal day in our calendar reminds us all of the sacrifices that have been made by those past and present, in serving our great countries. It was impressive to witness discussions in some classrooms on this subject. Lest we forget. Dear Parent and Carers,

I do hope everyone had a lovely Easter break with family and friends and I am sure the students are refreshed and ready for term 2. I wish to thank all of you who joined us in our school assembly at the end of last term. It was great to acknowledge the achievements of some of our students who received their awards with much pride.

I also wish to thank Lara Eleftheriou for her support to staff and families. Congratulations to families and staff who are using this app so effectively.
