In light ofthe COVID-19 pandemic, our team will be bringing the43rd annual NMA winners’ celebration live to your homesso the entire magazine community can join thecelebration. The event will be live hosted with full multimedia, musicand special guests, and participants can expect the samehigh-quality production as always. Winners will also havethe opportunity to deliver a short virtual acceptancespeech. $1000 cash prizes (for Gold winners in individualawards) & certificates will be mailed to winners after theevent.  Producing this live virtual event requires a full team oftechnicians and professionals. To help bring this year’scelebration to the industry across the country, theFoundation is requesting a pay-what-you-can donation (wesuggest $25) in lieu of ticket costs. As a small charitableorganization, these donations are vital to the Foundation’sability to honour this year’s winners and nomineesthrough this virtual gala.  The NMA Gala, which celebrates journalists, writers,photographers, illustrators, and other professionals of thepress who inform, educate and inspire Canadians at homeand around the world, is the magazine industry’s mostcherished annual event. With your help, the Foundation iscommitted to keeping this 43-year long tradition alive. ASSISTEZ AU 1ER GALA VIRTUEL DES PRIX DUMAGAZINE CANADIEN En raison de la COVID-19, la remise des Prix du magazinecanadien sera présentée en format virtuel pour la première foisde l’histoire de la Fondation des prix pour les médiascanadiens. Vous êtes ainsi conviés à la célébration du 43e gala annueldepuis votre maison, en direct sur votre écran d’ordinateur. L’événement sera présenté sur plateforme numérique, avecune production de la même qualité supérieure à laquelle notreéquipe vous a habitués année après année. Le gala sera animépar un maître de cérémonie, il y aura une présentationmultimédia, de la musique et des invités spéciaux. Les gagnantsauront aussi l’occasion d’offrir un discours de remerciementvirtuellement. Les prix de 1 000 $ (remis aux gagnants desmédailles d’or dans les catégories individuelles) et les certificatsseront envoyés aux lauréats par la poste après l’événement. Une équipe entière de techniciens et de professionnels estnécessaire pour produire un tel événement virtuel en direct. LaFondation accepte donc en ce moment les dons (en fonction dece que vous pouvez donner - nous suggérons 25 $) pourremplacer la vente de billets.
