CONFRONTATION

Confrontation Confrontation is the title of a new build art space which puts together two of the most known room sculptures ”Triangular Solid with Circular Inserts” (1989) by Dan Graham and “Band” by Richard Serra. These two art pieces are situated in one building that is divided into two equal rooms. They are placed next each other but they cannot be seen by the visitor at the same time. Because of the art works’ materiality and size, this setting provokes two complete different room situations. A selected setting of light in each room underlines the confrontation of art piece and architecture in a specifi c intended way. The fact that this building contains great openings to the exterior establishes a relation between inside and outside space and with this another interaction.
