We Sing of the Saints

CANTORS: 4:00 - Tom Griffith
9:00 - Abby Witmer
11:30 - Abby Witmer
Today, the great Feast of All Saints, which is always a Holy
Day in the United States, falls on a Sunday, making it vers spe-
cial indeed. We are always filled with joy when celebrating and
singing of those who have run the race, fought the good fight,
and are now dwelling with the Lord in heaven. Not only those
whom the Church has declared are definitely in heaven by the
process of beatification and canonization, but those of our loved
ones who have passes, and all the people throughout the world
who have gone to God in the state of sanctifying grace. We sing
of them also.
Today at 2:00 is our parish celebration of the sacrament of
Confirmation. Our young people have studied and worked very
hard to reach this day and we congratulate them and pray for
them, that they may always live their faith, the Faith of the
Catholic Church. The Choir is not singing at 11:30 Mass today,
because they are leading the congregation in song, and singing
special music at the Confirmation Mass. Once again, we say
congratulations to all of our Confirmandi!

CD highlighted: “The Supper of the Lamb” by Scott Hahn. Based on his best-selling book, Dr. Hahn reveals the early Christians' key to understanding the Mass: the Book of Revelation. With its bizarre imagery, mystic visions of Heaven, and end-times prophecies, it mirrors the sacrifice and celebration of the Holy Eucharist. See the Mass with new eyes, pray the Liturgy with a renewed heart, and enter into the Mass more fully and enthusiastically!
