Microsoft Dynamics AX7 – Configuring Integration to Visual Studio Team Services
Configuring Integration to Visual Studio Team Services
The process of recording a case directly from the AX7 client is accomplished by configuring integration to Visual Studio Team Services from the Life Cycle Services
(LCS) project that generated the Dynamics AX7 Instance. Once the integration is configured an authorized user can initiate a support case directly from the
Dynamics AX7 client and those cases are automatically tracked and managed from the LCS project Cloud Powered Support page. Since the LCS Cloud-powered
support cases are seamlessly integrated to VSO Team Services, project issues can be easily assigned to developers for debugging and resolution. All using the
same tool that is managing the AX7 project backlog. If necessary, a formal case can be submitted to Microsoft directly from the existing team services issue.
Both the team services case and the Microsoft incident are automatically cross referenced and synchronized.
Microsoft Dynamics AX7 – Configuring Integration to Visual Studio Team Services
The first step is to configure the integration to Visual Studio Team Services from your LCS Project. When you first create your LCS project the VSTS integration
will not be configured yet. You will see the button appear on the main LCS console page to configure VSTS.
