At your request, a visual inspection of the above referenced property was conducted on June 14, 2010 . Staircase Condition:Satisfactory - The staircase to the basement level appears functional.

Moisture on Exposed Basement Walls Noted:No - There were no elevated moisture levels noted on the exposed areas of the basement walls.

Type Roof:Combination of: Gable, Hip.

Roof Covering Materials:Wood shakes. Shakes are hand split cedar heartwood. 5/8" to 3/4" thick. Shakes are applied in horizontal rows with 15#interlay of felt between courses.

Cover Layers:The roof covering on the main structure appears to be the first covering.

Condition of Roof Covering Material:Satisfactory - The roof covering material is in a condition that is consistent with its age and method of installation, showingno deficiency or cause for immediate concern.

Estimated Life Expectancy of Roof:The roof covering material appears to have a remaining life expectancy of 15 years or more, assuming proper maintenanceis completed as needed. The life expectancy given is the best estimate of the inspector, assuming proper maintenance. The actual life of the roofing materials used can be influenced by external sources like weather extremes, conditions causedby trees and vegetation, and mechanical damage.

Slope:High slope is considered to be 7 in 12, or higher.

Flashing: ConditionSatisfactory - The flashings around openings in the roof covering appear to be watertight and caulked as needed.

The valleys on the roof are open with metal valleys.Ridges:Satisfactory - The ridge covering material appears to be in satisfactory condition.Evidence of Leakage:No - Gutter and Downspout MaterialsThe gutters and downspouts were constructed of Aluminum.

Roof Gutter System:Attention Needed - The gutter system on the roof edge appears to be leaking or inadequately sloped to carry the water tothe downspouts. Attention Needed - The downspouts appear to be clogged and need attention to function normally.

The rafter spacing was 16 inch on center.Roof Framing Condition:Satisfactory - The roof framing appears to be in functional condition.Roof Bracing:The roof framing as installed seems adequate.

Roof Decking:The roof decking material is plywood sheeting.

Evidence of Leaks on Interior of Attic:There is no evidence of current water leaks into the accessible attic spaces.

Ventilation Hi/Low:Satisfactory - There appears to be adequate ventilation installed. Vents are located both in the ridge area and low in theeaves area. There are ridge vents installed. There are soffit vents installed.

Vapor Barrier Installed:There is a vapor barrier installed. The vapor barrier is correctly installed with the barrier facing the heated side.

Insulation Noted:Satisfactory - The attic insulation appears to be adequate and properly installed. The following type of insulation was notedin the attic: Fiberglass. Batts. There is an average of at least 10" of insulation installed.
