Password Reset

[4]

In an effort to make the password reset process easier, RDN has made two changes to the password reset process in Collector Management on the user’s profile screen.1. We added a new field called Password E-Mail. This field contains an email

address that is only used for password resets. This allows lenders that do not want collectors to have email addresses on their profiles to still be able to use the Reset Password feature. RDN will initialize the new field with the first email that is in the collector’s regular email field.

2. When the Reset Password button is clicked, we will now display a pop-up dialog box that will allow you to enter an email address. The temp password will be sent to this email address. The default email shown on this pop-up will be the email address in the Password E-Mail field.

When the Reset Password button is clicked, you will be presented with the following dialog box:

When you click OK, you will see a second dialog box. This box shows the email address where the new password will be sent. The default value will bethe value from the Password Email field. Note: you can change this email address if you wish, but you cannot leave it blank. If no email address is found, there will be an error and the failure will be noted on the main screen.

On the Case Custom Fields screen, you will see the icon to create a new field along with a list of your existing custom fields.

The ID is an RDN internal name for this field. This name will be important if you are using RDN Web Services. Please contact Gene Tharp ([email protected]) if you are using Web Services and need to work with these fields.

When a custom field is removed, it will be marked in RDN as deleted resulting in the following:1. The field is no longer available as a search field in MultiSearch2. The field will not appear on the Add New Case screen3. Cases with the field will still display the field and the field will also be

editable on the case edit4. You will not be able to add the field back – you can create a new field with the

same name but it will not be the same field. Even though you may see the same name in MultiSearch, the search will not be against the old field

You will be warned with the following message when you select the Remove Action:
