Understanding the new TRID forms can be diffi cult but this class should help clarify any concerns. Learn the timelines for executing the Loan Estimate and the Closing Disclosure and what the adjusted timelines are if there is a re-disclosure. Certain items on the TRID have tolerances that cannot be exceeded in each category; fi nd out what they are and how you can comply with these. Find out where each fee goes on the form and how to discuss these documents with your title company.

The basis of discussion will be on the Harvard article by Clayton M. Christensen on Identifying and Developing Capable Leaders. Learners will receive study materials before the conference so they can prepare and maximize the eff ectiveness of group discussions and problem solving. Only 15 Executive Directors/CEOs may participate and must complete pre-work.

IU Fund Raising School experts will teach you the ins and outs of planned giving through wills and bequests, appreciated property, charitable lead trusts, life insurance, retirement plans, charitable gift annuities, and remainder trusts. You’ll learn the technical aspects of these items as well as strategies for building a program that successfully markets and matches the right gift instrument to the right donor.

This workshop is a comprehensive approach to understanding the dynamics that cause and support individual and systemic poverty. Bridges out of Poverty provides concrete tools and strategies to alleviate, reduce, and prevent poverty by looking through a socioeconomic lens.
Participants will review research, examine a theory of change, and analyze poverty through the prism of the hidden rules of class, family structure, language, and resources. Participants will hear overall concepts as well as specifi c strategies to improve outcomes for people living in poverty.
Learn about proven concepts, strategies, and approaches. This training has been used to assist employers, community organizations, social service agencies, and individuals gain insight and strategies. Karen Kallenberg, our certifi ed Bridges Trainer, is the Director of Capacity Building for Habitat Colorado and can help transfer these concepts to our Habitat world with concrete action steps for affi liates to better reach and understand our families.
Class fee includes breakfast, lunch, and a book for the course. This is a must attend class for any staff or volunteer that interacts with Habitat families on a regular basis, especially those involved in family selection and coaching.
