Theme I: Predicting Financial and Economic Crises and their Impact on Islamic Finance The last global financial crisis in 2008 as well as all preceding financial crises are evidencing the global financial system deficiencies and its dependence on temporary remedies that hastily give rise to financial crises. The need is pressing to reform the existing global financial system for avoiding such crises, now many experts and scientists raise the alarm for a new financial crisis along with the necessity for addressing it, avoiding its grounds, and reducing its potential consequences. In this theme, we are going to review the approved scientific and methodological tools to foresee financial and economic crises, its grounds and preventive measures, its consequences to Islamic finance and Shariah rulings for foreseeing financial crises.
Theme II: Islamic Finance and Recent Trends Towards Sports SectorFinancial institutions, as per their strategic plans, explore other sectors and their business activities while studying the accessibility to new investment opportunities in those sectors, the sports sector is one of them that has become a broad area for economic which has been witnessing the capital injection in pursuit of investment opportunities. In this theme, we are going to discuss the opportunities and challenges of Islamic finance in this sector and present the Qatari experience in it, then develop the most considerable Shariah rules and standards for investment in this sector.

Theme III: Islamic Trading Platforms Islamic Trading Platforms are considered as a sensitive matter, because it requires to be dealt through accurate Shariah rules and standards, such as on-spot exchange without a delay, avoiding interest which is a prohibited form of usury. Therefore, in this theme we will discuss the international commodity platforms and banking Tawarruq, as well as crowd funding platforms and the idea of establishing a commodity and metal market in the Middle East along with to elucidate Shariah provisions and economic consequences of Islamic trading platforms.
Theme IV: Innovation and Artificial Intelligence in Islamic Finance With the affirmed instance of modern technology, such as Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain and its obvious effect on all financial and economic units’ mode of operation, Islamic banks are not far from such development and its implications for various finance methods as well as the investment opportunities provided to it in this area. In this theme, we are going to address the influence of artificial intelligence on sustainable development in terms of Qatar National Vision 2030. In addition, it will foresee the future of artificial intelligence in Islamic banks together with identifying Shariah rules and standards on trading.
