Hotel Commitment **Important**

EHASO has made a number of sleeping room

commitments and the importance of reserving a hotel

room at The Meritage Resort and Spa cannot be stressed

enough. EHASO makes every effort to keep

participants expenses at the meeting, registration fees,

and hotel rooms for the meeting as low as possible. We

work hard to negotiate the best hotel rates and to make

the best use of your registration dollars to keep the

meetings affordable. Those that stay outside of the hotel

block put those commitments in jeopardy, resulting in

additional fees that EHASO would be responsible for,

should it not meet those commitments. This may also

result in an increased conference registration rate for

those attendees to cover any expected shortfall on the

EHASO commitments. By reserving a room at The

Meritage Resort and Spa, you are helping to support

not only the Meeting in 2019, but also future meetings.

Wine Train to Grgich Hills Estate Winery

As Napa’s most unique and distinctive restaurant, the Wine Train offers fine dining and service in an ever-changing scenic backdrop. You can enjoy a multiple course meal in our relaxing and spacious vintage railcars, while viewing Napa Valley from inside it’s pristine vineyards. The museum quality, antique train runs on 25-miles of track. The early 20th century Pullman railcars were expertly refurbished with Honduran mahogany paneling, brass accents, etched glass partitions, and plush arm- chairs — all of which, evoke the spirit of luxury rail travel in the early 1900s and mid 1950’s.

Located in downtown Napa, adjacent to Oxbow Commons, the station features museum quality artifacts from California’s Railroad history, and as guests wait to board the train, they may browse, sip, and shop in the cafe , wine store, or gift shop. Hess Museum & Wine Tasting

One of the best kept secrets in Napa Valley, The Hess Collection is located just five miles from busy Highway 29, yet it's a world away from the hustle and bustle. The historic stone winery, dating back to 1903, is situated on Mount Veeder among majestic firs, redwoods and a courtyard garden. Donald Hess leased the winery buildings from the Christian Brothers in 1986, and, after a two-year renovation, opened the visitor center to the public. The Hess Collection offers visitors an opportunity to experience Donald's shared passions—art and wine. There are more than 13,000 square feet of contemporary paintings and sculpture on display. Hess Collection wines display the unique character of grapes from their estate vineyards high atop Mt. Veeder, and reflect the dedication and skill required to mold the powerful mountain fruit into wines of exceptional quality. You will view and taste during your private tour here today.

Golfing at Chardonnay Club

Unlike virtually all courses today, Chardonnay’s golfers are not asked to play amidst any private residences. The 18-holes of semi-private championship golf offer a variety of challenges for players of all skill levels. The 18-hole layout features a unique blend of golf holes consisting of six par fives, six par fours and six par threes that meander through over 150 acres of Chardonnay, Merlot & Pinot Noir vineyards and feature numerous lakes and creek crossing, five sets of tees (Professional - Black, Tournament - Burgundy, Mens - Green, Seniors - Ivory, and Ladies - Gold) to choose from and a wide variety of native trees, shrubs and wildlife. Several areas of the property are designed as wildlife preserves and are dedicated to maintaining wildlife habitat among the vineyards and fairways. Sharing the property with the golfers are several species of birds including hawks, kites, kestrels, hummingbirds, and an occasional golden eagle. In the early morning or late evening hours rabbits, squirrels, foxes, our bobcat family on #16 and many other "critters" stroll through the fairways.

Sunday, November 3rd • 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM • $165.00 • Doctors and Companions

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

di Rosa Art Tour

The di Rosa Preserve houses one of the largest regional art collections in the country, and the most extensive gathering of contemporary California Bay Area art available anywhere in the world. Entirely surrounded by vineyards and studded with hundreds of 150-year old olive trees, the Preserve's 217-acre setting is utterly unique. A 35-acre lake, a 130-year old stone winery turned residence and more than 2,000 works by some 900 artists makes the di Rosa experience an unparalleled art & nature oasis.

Rene di Rosa, a longtime Bay Area resident and avid art collector, has created a unique mix of art gallery and nature preserve across the rolling meadows of this Napa Valley property. Housed in 3 airy, warehouse-style galleries as well as a 100-year-old stone winery (formerly di Rosa's personal residence), this collection of work by Bay Area artists encompasses some 2000 artworks ranging from the comical to the sublime.

The di Rosa Preserve stretches over 53 acres of open space and a 35-acre lake, both of which double as outdoor sculpture gardens. Strutting and fanning around the grounds, a group of live peacocks add their own dramatic and artistic touch to the bucolic setting.

Wine Tasting Flora Springs

Flora Springs is a family endeavor that epitomizes hard work, dedication and teamwork. It all began over 20 years ago, When Jerry and Flora Komes bought the first vineyard—a vineyard with lots of history, great soils, two ghost wineries and an ever flowing spring. Their retirement project became a lifetime passion for son, John, and daughter Julie and their families. The family has over 500 acres of vineyards in 8 distinct locations in the Napa Valley which gives them the unique advantage of beginning their winemaking process from the ground up—selecting the site, the varietal, the planting method, and every detail that is vital to obtaining great fruit each year. Your private visit will include a tour of their caves, and a toasting of their diverse and well respected wines.

Wine Tasting Castello di Amorosa

The most unique destination west of Tuscany— Castello di Amorosa. Fourteen years in the making, this winery is the brain child of Darryl Sattui. The 100+ rooms were built from stones, bricks, lightening, and other elements that were carefully removed from existing structures in Italy, shipped to Napa and re-assembled by Italian stone smith, aided by local crew. The beautiful frescoes telling the story of love and betrayal were painted by an artist brought over from Italy just for that purpose. The entire experience combines Italian history and Napa winemaking, leaving you with a most unique story to bring home.
