EVERY STUDENT, EVERY DAYCONTINUING TO IMPROVE WITH DATA CONFERENCEKEYNOTE SPEAKERSaquestt.com/events/
Keynote | Monday, April 18, 2016Every Student Every Day: Continuing to Improve with DataDr. Matthew L. Blomstedt, Commissioner of Education12:30-1:30 pm | Crystal Rooms 1, 2, 3
The initial AQuESTT classifications have been released, yet the work of continuing to improve is really just beginning. During this session, hear the Nebraska Commissioner of Education provide insights to a broader vision and convergence of significant transformational change in the Nebraska Education landscape. Building systems of support, supporting all schools, alignment of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), deeper collaborations with policy partners, and providing critical leadership is part of the moral imperative in Nebraska to support every student, every day.
Keynotes | Tuesday, April 19, 2016Change: Challenging Work in Challenging TimesDr. Joellen Killion, Senior Advisor, Learning Forward8:30-9:30 am | Crystal Rooms 1, 2, 3
Leading change is a fundamental responsibility of all leaders. AQuESTT creates an opportunity for education leaders to apply their experience and expertise to achieve greater results. Those who view the work through a lens of system change, who advocate a shared vision for success, and who perceive change as people work understand that the work is complex, rewarding, and tedious simultaneously. In this keynote address, leaders of change will explore the significance of skillfully juggling multiple priorities, ruthlessly examining and adjusting their mental models, and deeply comprehending the interconnectedness of their every action.
What Does the Gallup Student Poll Reveal about America’s and Nebraska’s Students?Dr. Tim Hodges, Director of Research, Gallup EducationNoon Luncheon Program | Crystal Rooms 1, 2, 3
Join us as we discuss national and statewide results of the 2015 Gallup Student poll and learn how thousands of schools across the country and here in Nebraska use these results to create a more focused education for students — one that builds engagement, creates hope for the future, fosters talent and prepares students to participate meaningfully in our nation's economy by finding or creating a good job. The Gallup Student Poll has nearly 4 million completes to date and is oered at no cost to districts.
