SNRS 2015 Annual ConferenceImportant InformationMEETING DATES: February 25 - February 28, 2015The SNRS 29th Annual Conference will be held at the Saddlebrook Resort, 5700 Saddlebrook Way, Wesley Chapel, Florida 33543, Ph: 813-973-1111; Toll-free: 800-729-8383; Fax 813-973-4504

A special rate of $229/single or double (plus applicable taxes) has been arranged. These room rates are available from Sunday, February 22 through Tuesday, March 3, should you wish to extend your stay. Please book your accommodations online at www.snrs.org or call the hotel directly at 1-813-973-1111 or toll-free at 1-800-729-8383, and identify yourself as an SNRS attendee to receive the special rates. The reservation cut-off date is Monday, February 2, 2015; thereafter the hotel will accept reservations on a space-available basis.

TRANSPORTATION FROM TAMPA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO SADDLEBROOK RESORT: We have arranged special transportation options for attendees to travel from Tampa International Airport to Saddlebrook Resort. Both of the following options require a 7-day advance reservation.• OPTION 1: Shared Ride Service (6 a.m. - 11 p.m.) Up to 30-minute wait from the time baggage is claimed. Our direct to resort Shared Ride Service is available at Tampa Airport for guests who reserve a seat in advance. The Shared Ride Reservations are grouped into 30- minute flight intervals and makes no other stops between the airport and Saddlebrook Resort. The cost is $30 per person each way and billed to the hotel room of the guest. • OPTION 2: Private Vehicle Service (after 11 p.m. or before 6 a.m.) This is a private vehicle with a personal chauffeur that leaves on the guest’s schedule with no waiting at the airport. All private sedan services include meet and greet by the chauffeur in baggage claim. The chauffeur will monitor the flight and meet the guest(s) in baggage claim with a name sign. The chauffeur handles your luggage from door to door. The cost is $85 each way for the sedan/chauffeur and billed to the hotel room of the guest.

Cab fares from Tampa International Airport to Saddlebrook Resort run approximately $75 each way. Complete details for booking transportation are available at www.snrs.org.

General InformationCONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS:The Southern Nursing Research Society is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Alabama State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Continuing Education Credit is now included as part of your registration fee.

EXHIBITS: Visit with colleagues and meet with representatives to learn about job opportunities, new products, and educational programs related to nursing research. The breakfasts, breaks and educational poster sessions will provide a comfortable atmosphere for networking and information gathering.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Three ways to register:1. Register online at www.snrs.org2. Mail the enclosed registration form with check made payable to SNRS, or credit card information to: SNRS, 10200 W. 44th Avenue, Suite 304 Wheat Ridge, CO 80033-28403. FAX your completed registration form with credit card information to 720-881-6101.Note: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are accepted for all types of registration.

REGISTRATION FEES: Conference registration includes admittance to all sessions and exhibits, a link of all accepted abstracts, Continuing Education Credits, continental breakfasts, refreshment breaks, reception, and the awards luncheon as listed in the program schedule unless otherwise stated.

MEMBER REGISTRATION: You must be a SNRS member in good standing at the time you register to take advantage of the discounted member fees. Members of other regional nursing research societies (ENRS, MNRS, and WIN) may register at the SNRS member rate by providing their society affiliation and associated member number.

STUDENT MEMBER REGISTRATION: If you are presenting in the Student Poster Session, you must become a student member of SNRS. Documented proof of student status (e.g., faculty letter and course registration receipt or copy of student ID) is required with your membership application. Student members of other regional nursing research societies (MNRS, ENRS, and WIN) may register at the SNRS student member rate by providing their society affiliation, associated member number, and documented proof of student status (e.g., faculty letter and course registration receipt).

STUDENT NON-MEMBER REGISTRATION: If you are a full-time undergraduate or graduate nursing student and you are not presenting in the Student Poster Session, you can register for the conference at the non-member student discounted fee. Documented proof of student status (e.g., faculty letter and course registration receipt) is required with your conference registration.

JOIN AND REGISTER: For $130, you can become a regular or associate member of SNRS and be eligible to register for the conference at the reduced regular member rate. For $95, you can become a student or retired member and be able to register for the conference at the student or retired member rate. Just check the appropriate “join and register” option on the registration form.

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION DEADLINES: The early-bird registration deadline is midnight (EST) on Friday, January 23, 2015. We strongly urge you to register by this date to take advantage of the early-bird registration discount. Regular Full Conference registration dates are January 24 - February 20, 2015. After this date you must register on-site.

REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION: Confirmation letters will be sent via email until February 20, 2015. After this date, registrations will only be processed on-site.

GROUP DISCOUNT: Four or more registrations received and processed from the same university/institution on the same payment will receive a $25 discount on each individual’s registration fee. Students are not eligible for group discounts.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY: Substitution is encouraged if unable to attend the conference. Cancellation of program registration will be refunded less a $50 processing fee if received by February 20, 2015. Cancellations must be made in writing and faxed to 720-881-6101 or emailed to [email protected]. NO refunds will be granted after February 20, 2015. All refunds will be processed following the conference.

PROGRAM CHANGES ANDCANCELLATIONS: SNRS reserves the right to substitute speakers or to cancel or reschedule sessions due to any unforeseen circumstances. If SNRS must cancel its conference, registrants will receive a full credit for or refund of their paid registration fee. SNRS will not be responsible for any other losses, including refunds for lodging, airfare or other conference-related expenses.

PRELIMINARY PROGRAM

ABOUT SNRSThe Southern Nursing Research Society (SNRS) was founded in 1986 when sixty

nurses met in Atlanta and debated the possibility of an organization for nursing

researchers in the southern region. In 1987, SNRS was declared an independent

organization. There are 14 states in the Society region: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida,

Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South

Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. In 1991, the boundaries

were expanded to include the Caribbean, Latin America and the Bahamas.

The mission of the Society is Advancing Nursing Research through:• Dissemination and utilization of research findings

• Career development of nurses and nursing students as researchers

• Enhancing communication among members

• Promotion of the image of nursing as a scientific discipline
