DESCRIPTION
EmpXtrack allows a quick setup of the appraisal module such that you can get a 360 view of an employee along multiple parameters such as Competencies, Goals, Relative Ranking, Self Evaluation. It allows each stakeholder to rate and comment on the employees achievements and contains features for comparative analysis, feedback from peers and juniors, salary recommendations and view of the full employee profile in the appraisal.TRANSCRIPT

This presentation allows you to:
a. Initiate Appraisal as an HR Manager.
b. Fill Appraisal forms as Employee and submit the appraisal to Manager.
c. View and rate appraisal forms as Manager
d. Configure Appraisal Plan, forms and module.
Note: We would be trying most of the functionality with 3 employees:
Janet Leverling – the employee
John Steel – Janet’s Manager
Terri Osborn – the HR Manager
To Login as an Employee, roll on the mouse to the employee and click on the Login button (as
shown in the image below)

To Initiate Appraisal, you need to :
1. Log in as Terri Osborn and initiate appraisal as HR Manager.
2. Go to Manage>> Performance management >> Manage processes.
3. Select Initiate appraisal process link from the Appraisals section on the My team processes page
that appears.
4. Select Plan A appraisal plan from the dropdown .
The sample employees are already selected in.
4. Type Janet Leverling in Employee name field and remove all other employees from the selected list.
5. Click Initiate. The Appraisal is successfully initiated for Janet in case an appraisal doesn’t exist for
her. (Note: You can set aside her appraisal and initiate a new one if you like)
6. Log out.

Fill Appraisal Form
To fill appraisal form, you need to:
1. Log in as Janet Leverling.
2. Go to My profile >> My performance >> My appraisal.
3. Read the instructions to fill the appraisal forms in the Introduction form that appears on My appraisal page.
4. Click on the form menu icon to view the desired form, fill it, and rate yourself, wherever required.
5. View the automatically calculated final score in the Final score form and select the final rating for yourself from Submit form and then click Submit on Submit form.
6. Log out.

To view and rate appraisal, you need to:
1. Log in as John Steel and click on the Appraisal message from Janet to view Janet’s appraisal .
Alternatively, go to Manage >> Performance management >>Appraisals, select the team members,
and click Evaluate to view the appraisal of all the team members together.

2. Click on the appraisal form that you want to review and provide ratings and comments if required by the
form.
You can click One attribute for all employees button to have a comparative view of a form on one
parameter for all the selected employees. This option is available only on forms where comparative study
is required.
3. Submit the form after providing the final rating on the Submit form and log out.

HR Manager cannot provide ratings to the employee on all the forms. To view and rate appraisal as HR Manager, you need to:
1. Log in as Terri Osborn and click on the Appraisal message from John Steel to view only Janet’s appraisal.
Alternatively, go to Manage >> Performance management >>Appraisals, select the team members and then click Evaluate to view the appraisal of all the team members together.

2. Click on the appraisal forms that you want to review and provide ratings wherever required.
You can click One attribute for all employees button (wherever available) to have a comparative view of
team members on one parameter of the form.
4. Click Submit to submit the form on the Submit form and log out. The appraisal is successfully done
and can be seen by employees, managers, and HR manager anytime but cannot be edited

To configure appraisal module, you need to:
1. Log in as Terri Osborn and go to Settings >> Performance management >> Appraisal >>
Appraisal configuration & plans.
2. Click Create a new performance plan button to create a new performance plan or click on the Action
icon corresponding to a plan and then select Edit option to modify that plan.
3. Provide or modify the details of the performance plan. The performance plans allow you to initiate
appraisals based on a specific set of configurations whenever required.

4. Select plan type, plan duration, workflow to be used and provide notification settings in Time &
notifications tab.
5. Select appraisal forms to be used in the plan and then configure the selected forms using Form &
settings tab.
6. Set visibility rules for the visibility of forms and fields for the employees in different roles using
Visibility rules tab.
7. Save the performance plan settings and you are successfully done with the appraisal configuration.
