Thecampus has two complete industry-standard TV studios, Photographystudio, E-classrooms, Non-linearediting suites, Radio studio andprovision for commercial contentdevelopment. A student Shivam Taneja says“The professors are always there forstudents anytime we need help. Thestudents themselves create not justshort films and documentaries butalso run Alive magazine website,(NNC) National News Channel, andadvertises for the Magazines atMassCoMedia. The institute hasbeen able to unearth some reallyoutstanding directorial talents byproviding students with a practicalenvironment of a news channel or anewspaper. Each year MassCoMediastudents win 20+ film awards. Thetally now is 70 film awards.

Our students received theDada Sahab Phalke award instudents short film category in 2012for ʻSammanʼ by Nandita Anand, andin 2013 by ʻPixies on Earthʼ byPadmini Rabha in 2013. It also wonthe second prize at the YouthFestival in Amity University, Noida.ʻRoad rageʼ by Debdutta receivedthe best film in international categoryaward 2014 by Aligarh MuslimUniversity. The list of awards is toolong and the best part is that mostlyall the directors of these films aregirls who made these proud momentsfor Masscomedia. It has baggeduncountable number of mostprestigious awards in its account.

I am working today with a reputedproduction house and I am thankfulto the college and the faculty for theirsupport”. Another achiever PadminiRabha whose film 'Pixies On Earth'was selected as one of the 10 bestfilms out of 80 films received from allover India and even Russia at theIndo-Russian Film Festival Of ShortDocumentaries by the RussianScience and Cultural Centre in NewDelhi in 2013 says- “It is such anhonour to be recognized as a winner.I feel so undeserving of all theachievements I received and admitthat without the help of my collegeand teachers I would not havethought of making short films”.
National news channel: NNC isa student-driven news channel, which
is web streamed and shows thecontent on internet with videostreaming technology. The channelis running in the studio ofMassCoMedia with a team of 5student anchors Lokender, Pooja,Sambhav, Shashank and Shubham .According to Upendra Rai who headsthe working of NNC “we havestringers and freelancers all acrossthe country who send us the video ofany incident. Students works at input,output and studio and creates abeautiful news story.” A studentAbhinav Taneja says- “I have been a
part of NNC from the very first day itstarted, I do editing and graphics.The platform we have received is acommendable initiative by MassCowhere students are given all thenecessary technologies to create anews story”.
Students lead the whole processof news-making and they are nolonger freshers as they have got theexpertise. Anchor of NNC Pooja says“NNC helped me to gain confidenceand I started anchoring. We are freeto use the equipment. It feels likehome here, I have gained experiencein field reporting here”. Anchor atNNC Sambhav has a differentperspective “I started working as ananchor but the teachers encouragedme to get into scripting and editingtoo and now I create my whole storymyself, I feel like an all-rounderhere”.
40+ students also gainedexperience in field reporting duringLok Sabha elections under theguidance of the faculty and organizedlive debates with the leaders. NNCanchor Shashank says “The role ofa college is to get the best out of youwhich the teachers here are doingvery well. I have gained experience in

Daily a team of 20 studentjournalists updates news on this site.Girish Baluni who leads the studentsin the web newspaper says “students have learnt a lot whileworking, this is their practicalexperience which is nourishing theirwriting ability. We never divide beatsamongst students, else we ask themto write news on all the topics so thatthey can have a wide knowledge inall fields of media”.

Few studentsfrom MassCoMedia have alsoreceived part time job in on othernewspaper based on their writingskills. The students also coverednews on the lok sabha election in allDelhi- NCR region. online newspaper. Another studentLokender Tyagi feels honoured to bepart of an industry where they aregiven in-house internship andtraining. He says, “writing for AliveNewspaper helped me identify thecorrect news needed out of thebunch of stories. I have learnt thecorrect selection of photographs,layout designing, page-making andphotoshop”.
Students are taught here with thetechnical aspects and now know thevalue of current news which hasmade them smarter in the selectionof a good news story.
