Through the survey we can understand that the number of males in gender analysis on “hands

on” learning is more than the females. Also the hours spent studying survey showed that the

number of males who were spending around 3-4 hours in studying was the highest. The gender

analysis also showed that both the males and females are equally confident about their chosen

careers and are comfortable with their chosen majors. We also can see that majority of the young

population around 20-21 years, have a greater hands on learning ability when compared to visual

aids and auditory medium. When it came to analyzing between whether or not the professors

were accommodating their learning styles, different age groups had differential opinions. Overall

the age groups from 20-21 and 21-22 are satisfied with their chosen career fields and academic

choices. Now analyzing the students according to the subjects of the majors- business

administration, biology, electrical engineering, marketing, finance, communication and

psychology, we see that the subjects which have the maximum use of practical knowledge like-

biology, electrical engineering, communication and psychology have chosen the hands-on

learning style. And said that their professors have accordingly set their learning styles. Thus we

see that in certain areas they differ in their opinions and preferences according to the subjects,

knowledge, age and psychological factors, while in some cases they have a similar thinking.

Learning styles differ from person to person. Also it is important to note here that these learning

styles have an implication and impact on the teaching styles as well. Accommodation of different

learning styles, is important to get maximum benefits and understanding. Learning styles as

discussed in the survey are of various types- auditory, visual, and hands on also known as

kinesthetic style. For a teacher especially, it is important to have an overall knowledge and

understanding of these styles so that they can reach out to the maximum number of students in

the class and get the best results.
