From the surface of the moon, we share the view of the Apollo 11 astronauts, and understand their shift in understanding about the fragility of the planet we call home. Overview Effect is a psychedelic and atmospheric outdoor projection set to a stunning original soundtrack. It asks us to celebrate what the human race is capable of achieving, and consider the cost of the problems we choose to ignore. In this free drop-in workshop, children can get creative making sock puppet aliens and recycled junk robots. Acted out against a green screen, they will then create moon and space stories as their characters explore digital scenes from MBD's new space themed projection show, Overview Effect. The resulting films will be live streamed to screens in the workshop space and Grays cafe. Luke Jerram's stunning Museum of the Moon will return to Leicester Cathedral this October, with each centimetre of the internally lit spherical sculpture representing 5km of the moon's surface. Measuring seven metres in diameter, the moon features detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface for a truly awe-inspiring

experience.
