From the Senior Chaplain
Our Big Canoe Chapel has a marvelous history and a heri-tage we enjoy today of many who have given their service so faithfully and lovingly over the years. Today we recognize one of these dear ones, Charlene Terrell, who has served the Chapel for almost three decades as Chapel administrator, Finance Officer, Historian, and reporter. She has written the history of the area, Wolfscratch Wilderness, now known as Big Canoe, the history of the Friendship Force and an update of the history of the Chapel. In Musica Variata programs she has entertained and enlightened us about leading ladies, from history as Martha Washington, Betsy Ross and Abigail Adams.
Charlene has served all four of the Chapel’s senior chaplains and the six associate chaplains. None of us today can re-member a time when she was not working faithfully for this Chapel.
Charlene has announced her retirement and we will have the opportunity at Stand-Around today, to extend our sincere appreciation, thanks and best wishes to her for excellent ser-vice and dedication to Big Canoe Chapel.
Remember, we celebrate Charlene’s retirement to-day at Stand-Around!
Blessings and peace,
Len
