Concert Performance Attire

Students in Band, Orchestra, Choir, Chamber Singers, Brass Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble, and Percussion Ensemble Please follow these guidelines in arranging appropriate attire for your performances at the Interlochen Arts Academy. Our intention is for these performing groups to reflect the same professional standards. Proof of purchase must be provided at Registration.

LADIES: • Floor-length black dress or piazza trouser and choice of blouse purchased through an approved vendor (see

“Women’s Concert Attire Information” on the Parent Resource Center section of our webpage or scroll down) • Black dress shoes (heels not over 1"), black stockings

GENTLEMEN: You may bring your own items if they meet the criteria outlined below, or you may purchase new through the Scholarshop. • Tuxedo: Black dinner jacket, matching black slacks. • The dinner jacket and slacks must be of the same fabric: wool, polyester or a blend of these. • White collared shirt (wing or normal collar) • Black bow tie • Black cummerbund (optional) • Black dress shoes, black socks

THIS INFORMATION APPLIES TO ALL FEMALE ACADEMY STUDENTS WHO WILL

BE PERFORMING IN A MUSIC ENSEMBLE

All female students who will be performing in any music ensemble must wear attire purchased from Tuxedo Wholesalers. To find more detailed information, pictures and on-line ordering information for the gowns and trousers, please follow these instructions:

1. Go to www.tuxedowholesaler.com 2. Click on “Concert Attire” 3. Click on “Catalog” 4. Click on “Women’s Wear” 5. Click on “Gowns” , “Skirts & Trousers” or “Separates” (blouses) 6. The three gowns you may choose from are titled, Valentina, Rosemary and Angelique (each $59.50) 7. For any of the three styles you MUST choose “Classical” and you MUST choose: black 8. The two blouses you can choose from are titled Addison ($34.00) or Avalon ($34.50) and you MUST choose: black. 9. The Piazza Trousers are options for Cello, Bass, Tuba & Percussion only. ($52.50) See page 2 and 3 of this flyer for sample photos.

NO OTHER STYLES, MATERIALS OR COLORS WILL BE ACCEPTED CONCERT ATTIRE!
