HOW TO PLAY• Lay out the 4 poem boards in a row.• Spread out the rhythm cards and work to match them all to the words in the poems. (It's useful to first group them by time sig-nature.)• This can be done by a single player or multiple players working as a team.
LEARNING OBJECTIVEMany students struggle when setting rhythm to words. Matching rhythms to words in this way can be a great first step towards com-posing their own rhythms.

HOW TO ASSEMBLE
• Print out the poem boards (pages 3–6) and laminate if desired. • Print out the rhythm cards (pages 7–10) double-sided. Trim along the dotted lines and laminate if desired.• Optionally, print the answer cheatsheet (page 11) if you want students to be able to check their own answers.
