INTRODUCTION India is a large country. It extends over an area of several thousand square miles. Its climate differs from state to state. The seasons in the South are different from those in the North. But three or four main seasons that are common to the whole India. They are the summer, the rainy, the winter and the spring.

The summer seasons begins from the month of April and lasts up to the end of June. The sun shines at its brightest and there is intense heat.

Mangoes, grapes, black plums, watermelons, oranges and muskmelons are some of the major fruits grown in India. Vegetables include bitter gourd, ladies finger or okra, peas, pumpkin, mushrooms, mint and French beans.

Tips for summer season:Do something good for your mind and body each day.

Continue to moisturize.

Drink plenty of water.

Get your shut-eye.

The winter season lasts from November to February every year. In the Northern Plains, very cold wind blow making the winter months severe.

Autumn is the season after summer, when leaves fall from trees. It's also the season when the days get shorter and colder, and everything turns brown and drab, but people like it anyway.
