EXT. BEACH - DAY

A young IRIS (15) runs across the beach, holding a BAG.

She stops by a small COVE, where she sees SETH (18), who tosses her a can of beer.

SETHLong time no see.

IRISMy Dad had me under house arrest until I got my grades up.

SETHSo until you were able to forge a good enough report card.

IRISPhotoshop is a gift to those who don’t have time to waste on memorizing formulas.

She sits next to him and they pop their cans of beer in tandem, an old tradition. Iris downs the beer more quickly than Seth, crumpling it up and tossing it aside.

SETHDrink any faster and you won’t be able to pull this off.

IRISYour Natty light has nothing on me, Seth. Where’s Jackson?

SETHLate. As usual. Why do we have to keep him around? He’s a kid.

Seth smiles at Iris as she grabs another beer from his backpack.

JACKSON (15), a cheerful puppy dog of a kid, runs over, out of breath and holding a pair of cleats and wearing a ruffled soccer uniform.

JACKSONSorry guys, coach kept me late.

Seth rolls his eyes, but Iris smiles at Jackson and tosses him a beer.

IRISLet’s get going.

Iris leads the way. As Seth walks past Jackson, he grabs his collar.

SETHDon’t screw this up.

Seth takes Jackson’s beer from him, pushing him away.

JACKSONI-I won’t.

Jackson, a little flustered, runs after Iris.

EXT. SUPERMARKET - PARKING LOT - DAY

Iris and the guys sit on a fence across from the supermarket.

IRISI could go for some rocky road, but right now a three man band works best. We need to steal $280 worth of stuff to have money for the tickets.

She squeezes Jackson’s hand and he grins at her.
