A computer viruses are small

software programs that are

designed to spread from one

computer to another and it

also interferes with computer

operation.

Computer viruses are a type of malware that have

computer programs, data files or the boot sector of the

hard drive.

They can harm your computer very badly and therefore,

it will not work, and you will have to get it fixed.

There are also viruses that can be any attachments of

funny images, greeting cards, audio or video files.

Computer viruses also spread through downloads on

the Internet.

They could be hidden in any software's, programs or

any files that you might download.

HOW TO AVOID VIRUSES

To avoid viruses, you should NOT download any unknown

programs, files, websites, items or pop ups on the internet

if you do not know what they are.

Update your anti virus software and firewall regularly like

once a month.

You should buy an anti-virus software for MAC’s or PC’s,

like Mcafee anti-virus software or Norton anti-virus

software, because that means that you are most likely not

going to get a virus if you have a software like that.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE A VIRUS?

When you open an infected program, you may not be aware

that your computer has a virus.

There are signs, pop-up or notifications that give you a clear

indication that something is wrong.

Your computer slows down and is not its normal self.

Your computer often crashes and restarts itself, automatically.

Mysterious messages pop up or your computer responds in

unexpected ways.

When you turn on the computer the screen is black.
