This program focuses on the fundamentals, practices, techniques and tasks to manage projects. The participant will
develop project management skills through case studies, hands-on exercises and a broad array of practical examples.
The course will also cover the PMBOK version 5.0 for the benefit of those who want to go for PMP certification.
In particular participant will learn:
• Fundamental project management skills, concepts and techniques.
• Identity stakeholder needs requirements and document project scope.
• Develop work breakdown structures.
• Document project management plan.
• Estimate project cost and schedules.
• Understand dynamics of project management including HR and communication aspects of Effective team
building and management.
• Establish a dependable project monitoring and control system.

Prof. V K Garg, PMP® is a gold medallist bachelor of engineering and M. Tech from IIT Delhi. He is a certified project
management professional PMP®. He carries 35 years of rich experience in the field of Information Technology and has
been on board of various companies for more than 10 years. He has worked in varying capacities with organizations like
A F Ferguson, Larsen & Turbo, Zenith Computers, NITIE, Lupine laboratories, Rolta and other software companies. He
has commendable practical experience in the areas of Project management, bidding, software estimation and risk
assessment, as a Technical Advisor with a leading Management Consulting firm, he has strategized the estimation and
risk management processes for their software projects. He as project manager has managed over fifty projects varying
from few person months to hundred person years, many of which has been sponsored and funded by the World Bank.
He is an acknowledged expert in the various areas of project Management and authored bestselling books on various
subject including ERP and strategic bidding for IT projects. He has been associated as Expert with various World Bank
sponsored projects. Prof. Garg is a corporate trainer and also a consultant associated with many leading IT companies
