This series of eight courses is designed for the general dentist who, by the program’s completion, will be ready to start placingand restoring implants. Live-patient implant placement surgeries and hands-on workshops will be performed by the attendeesunder expert supervision. The program will include working with models, fresh-frozen cadaver, and three live-patient surgeries.
Prerequisites:• Professional liability coverage not less than $1 million/$3 million • Current CPR
• Limited to only Florida-licensed dentists • Must provide own patient

Taeheon Kang, D.D.S., M.S. – Born and raised in South Korea, Kang attended SeoulNational University Dental School—the most prestigious program in the country. Inspiredby the fields of periodontics and implant dentistry, he went on to receive his specialtytraining in periodontics from Seoul National University in 1996. After earning his certificatein periodontics, he relocated to the United States. He then attended the University ofPennsylvania, where he received his second training in periodontics and implant den-tistry. As a result, Kang is the only periodontist who has completed a periodontal resi-dency in both Korea and the United States. After eight years of his dedication andcommitment to the University of Pennsylvania and Nova Southeastern University as aneducator and a clinician, he opened his private practice in Fairfax, Virginia.

Omar Abdo, D.D.S., M.S., FACP – Abdo, who maintains a private practice in Jupiter,Florida, is a specialist in cosmetic veneers and restorations, crown and bridge, dentures,partials, full-mouth reconstructions, maxillofacial prosthodontics, and implant dentistry.He is a board-certified prosthodontist, a Diplomate of the American Board of Prostho-dontics, and a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists. Currently, he holdsfaculty appointments with the University of Illinois, Marquette University School of Den-tistry, and Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. He is a graduateof the University of Illinois at Chicago with graduate specialty training in advanced com-bined prosthodontics and earned his Master of Science degree in Oral Science at theUniversity of Illinois Graduate College.
