Buffer for challenges

• Being resilient doesn’t mean you won’t experience adversity.

• Resilience can buffer the adverse effects of stressful life events.

• Individuals who use a broader range of coping strategies experience less distress from stressful life events.

What is a Wingman?

“The wingman is absolutely indispensable. I look after the wingman. The wingman looks after me. It's another set of eyes protecting you. That’s the defensive part. Offensively, it gives you a lot more firepower. We work together. We fight together. The wingman knows what his responsibilities are, and knows what mine are. Wars are not won by individuals. They're won by teams.”

Col Francis S. "Gabby" Gabreski, USAF 28 victories in WWII and 6.5 MiGs over Korea

Do I have to write everyday?

• Research has found that some people benefit more from Counting Blessings if they reduce the frequency of the activity – For some people, Counting Blessings everyday day

can feel like a chore, rather than something to increase optimism.

– Find the right fit for you…but make sure you do it on a regular basis, not just when you feel stress.
