Composition skills development

What does progression look like? The composition skills development overview explains the progression from early to fourth level. This document has been designed to help teachers plan for the creative aspects of composing music. The relevant experiences and outcomes and a range of motivating contexts have been identified. At each level, key aspects of learning have been identified to support learners to make progress in composition. To support teachers, suggested activities have been devised, along with assessment criteria to support professional judgement.
