Actions explained: • ”I would like to create a new artifact” will create and attach a new artifact for this

assignment. • “I would like to attach/submit a previously created and saved artifact” to attach an artifact

you have already created and saved in the system. All of the artifacts you have created in the system will appear; select the file which will be attached to the artifact.

• “I’m not sure” will explain the two choices above. To Create a NEW ARTIFACT for a Course Based Assignment:

1. Select the Artifact Type from the drop down menu (Your instructor will probably tell you what type of artifact to create in the assignment instructions. If not, select the type that MOST closely describes what you are attaching. Most often, you will pick FILE).

3. Upload Document to attach a file using the Browse button. Note: If another document needs to be uploaded for this artifact, click the NEXT button on the bottom then ”Click to attach another file” link.

4. Enter a Title for your artifact; a Description is optional (if you attached a file using the Browse button, the Title field will automatically add the document’s title here. If you want to rename the title, you can do so).

PLEASE NOTE: If you click the SAVE button, you will be able to return to it later to make changes. Do not click SUBMIT unless you are finished and ready to submit the assignment to the faculty member. Once you have SUBMITTED, you may not recall it for any more editing – it will be locked. Clicking the Cancel button will allow you to exit, without saving anything.

To ATTACH/SUBMIT a previously created and saved artifact:

1. Select *“I would like to attach/submit a previously created and saved artifact” to attach an artifact you have already created and saved in the system. 2. Click on the radio button next to the artifact you want to upload.
