Junior category B (born in 2007. and younger) – up to 5 minutes (free choice program) Note: One composition must be played from memory. I category (born in 2005. and younger) – up to 8 minutes (free choice program) Note: One composition must be played from memory. II category (born in 2003. and younger) – up to 10 minutes (free choice program) Note: One composition must be played from memory. III category (born in 2001. and younger) – up to 12 minutes Obligatory composition: G.Ph.Telemann: Suite in A minor, TWV 55: a2, 4th and 5th movement (Air a l’Italien and Rejouissance) Note: Obligatory composition must be played from memory. IV category (born in 1999. and younger) – up to 15 minutes Obligatory composition: J.S.Bach: Suite No. 2 in B minor, BWV 1067 (Polonaise, Double, Menuet and Badinerie) Note: Obligatory composition must be played from memory. Note: Secondary school students can’t compete with the elementary school pupils. They have to perform in the next category, comprised of older contestants, regardless of their birthdate.

    Article 1.The Elementary Music School „Vladimir Djordjevic“ of Belgrade (Serbia) organizes the musiccompetition titled First International Flute Competition „Miodrag Azanjac“.

    Article 2.The event is adressed to students coming from public and private music institutions/schoolsworldwide.

    Article 3.The competition will be held in the Elementary Music School „Vladimir Djordjevic“, VatroslavaJagica 5, Belgrade (Serbia) from 16th to 18th of March, 2018.

    Article 4.COMPETITION PROPOSITIONS

    Categories and performance duration

    Article 5.To enter the competition, candidates will have to complete the required online application form,given at the official school website www.vladimirdjordjevic.edu.rs

    On the day of the Competition, candidates have to show a copy of their birth certificate, as well ascopy of the payment receipt for the registration fee (showing candidate’s name and last name) tothe Competition secretary.

    Article 6.APPLICATION DEADLINE – March 1, 2018.

    Article 7.Registration (Donation) Fees

    Junior categories and Categories I and II – 2.500,00 RSD.

    Categories III and IV – 3.000,00 RSD.

    Candidates from other countries should pay their donations when they arrive to Serbia (on the dayof Competition).

    All donations must be paid to Bank Account of Elementary Music School „Vladimir Djordjevic“Belgrade, account number: 840-1461666-15, purpose of payment: „Donation for flutecompetition“.

    In the case of candidate’s cancellation, the Organizer is not obliged to return the fee payment.

    Article 8.Prizes

    1st prize: 95 – 100 points2nd prize: 85 – 94.99 points3rd prize: 75 – 84.99 points

    Acknowledgement: 70 – 74.99 points

    In case that two or more candidates obtain the same number of points, younger candidate willhave the advantage.

    In each category which has more than one competitor, the competitor obtaining the highest score(and minimum 95 points), will be awarded with special prize named Laureate of the Category.

    Among all Category Laureates, jury will choose one candidate, with the maximum score, who willbe awarded with special prize named Laureate of the Competition.

    Article 9.The Jury of Competition will comprise of outstanding Serbian and foreign flute pedagogists, whosenames will be given on our web site one month before the start of the Competiton.

    Article 10.Travel expenses, board and lodging are at the candidates charge.

    Article 11.The Organizer will provide an official piano accompanist if required by candidate and marked in application form. In that case, candidate is obliged to send scanned piano score to [email protected]. This service will be charged an additional fee, in agreement with the Organizer.

    Article 12.The organizer reserves the right to acquire and publish audiovisual material during theCompetition, without any compensation for the participants.

    Article 13.The organizer is not responsible for any risks, injuries or damages of any kind suffered byparticipants during the event.

    All Category Laureates, as well as theLaureate of the Competition will beawarded with suitable prize gifts.
