To ensure the driver competence,medical screening, daily checks by drivers and selection of vehicles. Confined space means a space that: (1) Is large enough and so configured that an employee can bodily enter and perform assigned work; and (2) Has limited or restricted means for entry or exit and (3) Is not designed for continuous employee occupancy.Some confined spaces examples are: storage tanks; silos; reaction vessels; enclosed drains; sewers. Confined space can have one or more of the below mentioned dangers: A lack of oxygen. Poisonous gas, fume or vapour. Liquids and solids which can suddenly fill the space, or release gases into it, when disturbed. Fire and explosions Dust present in high concentrations Hot conditions leading to a dangerous increase in body temperature machinery being used may require special precautions, gas, fume or vapour can arise from welding if access to the space is through a restricted entrance, such as a manhole, escape or rescue in an emergency will be more difficult
