How do I get my students started on an activity in Freckle Math?

Option 1: Students practice independently by selecting a domain.

Elementary Secondary

Option 2: Teachers create assignment via adaptive or targeted practice. Assignments will be available when students log on.

Helpful Hints

· Teachers using Freckle Premium may use Focus Mode which requires students to complete assignments prior to independent practice.

· Teachers may limit the domains that students see to prevent them from independent work on a domain that isn’t appropriate for their learning level.

Which skills are my students ready to work on next? Where should instruction focus to move students forward?

Option 1: Students are placed along the adaptive learning path in each domain which adjusts based on student performance.

Elementary Secondary

Option 2: Grouping reports easily identify which students are working on which standards.

Helpful Hints

· The Star Math/Freckle Math connection will place students in some domains on their learning path, eliminating the need for placement tests in those domains.

Can I group students together for targeted instruction and practice?

Students are grouped either homogenously or heterogeneously based on their placement within a domain.

Homogeneous Grouping Heterogeneous Grouping

Helpful Hints

· Teachers can quickly switch between heterogeneous and homogeneous grouping.

· With homogeneous grouping, teachers can assign practice at each group’s level with one click.
