Marc Adamus - Evaluation

I have tried to replicate the photos of Marc Adamus as close as I could. For the first photo on the left I couldn’t find a white flower in the surrounding of Marc Adamus’ photo, so the closes that I could get was the same surrounding and background coloursbut with a different subject flower colour. I tried getting the same composition with the main subject of the flower on the left and the green background. I think I got the right amount of focus on both the subject and the background and think that this image despite not being able to get exactly the same location and subjects/colours has actually worked really well.

With the center image of the dominating tree with the plant at the bottom, the image that I had taken myself was the closest that I could get the the actual image. I think my image works as I’ve captured the plant at the bottom of the tree and the green foreground of the green leaves. I think that as I got down low at the bottom of the tree from a low angle and looking up at it its added to the similarity, although unfortunately this tree that I had chosen was only the bottom and didn’t continue up like Marc Adumus’. Also I should have taken the image in portrait, although, there wasn’t any of the tree that continued up so by taking it portrait I captured the most of the tree to fill the image. Although overall I am happy with the image and I think that the colours are similar along with the angle that I had taken the image.

The final image by Marc Adamus was also very unique, although I knew that somehow I could replicate it. I found this tree that hung over similar to the one taken by Marc Adamus and I think that it portrays the same image of nature taking over. I think that I got the same style of tree although unfortunately I couldn’t get the beautiful sunrise as it is in the photo taken by Marc Adamus. I also didn’t get the contrasting colours of the flowers under the tree although I think overall I got the right angle and near enough subject, but in addition to this I could have adjusted the composition and centered the subject more like the origional.

Adam Burton

Adam Burton - Evaluation

I think that Adam Burton was my most successful photographer that I had replicated. I think that the first photo that I had taken on the left has worked really well and is very similar to Adam Burtons original photo. I think that that composition I got rightwith the main subject on the right extending to the near center of the image. I also got the tall trees in the foreground. The majority of the colour in the image is green and I captured this having got the composition. I think that overall this image hasturned out really well and really replicated the original image.

The center image I found it really hard finding a similar subject of that style of tree on the right and getting the same composition. Although, I did find that subject in the image and believe it’s as close to the original that I could get. On the other hand I believe that I have captured the composition of the tree correctly having it on the right and on the two hot spots of an image. To get the correct composition throughout all my image I had taken the photos with the hotspot screen on the display. I think I have captured the colours correctly with the deep greens and earthy brown. Overall I am happy with the photo that I have taken and believe that it replicates Adam Burtons image as close as I could get.

The image to the right I also believe has turned out successfully. I again think that I have captured the composition correctly and successfully. Again this photo by Adam Burton is very green and I think I have achieved getting the correct colours in this photograph. I really like the shape of the tree in this image and think that my photograph really matched the photo by Adam Burton. The only downside to my photo is that I didn’t get the atmospheric fog surrounding the subject although this was something that I couldn’t control. Although overall I am happy with my photo and think that I have captured the colours, composition and angles as similar as I could.

Tim Parkin

Tim Parkin - Evaluation

I think that Tim Parkin was out of the three photographers, he was the hardest to replicate due to the unique style of his photos and just due to the fact that he really uses lighting to get a unique image. This is something that I couldn’t wait for as I only had a certain amount of time to take the photos and couldn’t wait all day to get the perfect photo as Tim Parkin would do. The first image was an image that Tim waited around for the perfect time with the sun setting in the foreground. Also for this image I couldn’t find a field of red flower, although with what I had available I managed to get flowers with a similar foreground of the grass and as it gets further back the image gets darker. I think although I didn’t get the correct lighting the sky actually looks quite dramatic and you can really see the dark clouds above. I think the composition I got was the closest I could get and although the subject colour wasn’t right, the composition and angle I used was good.

The second photograph was also very peculiar, I could see the leaves behind whatever was in front, which I believe looks likesnow, unfortunately there wasn’t any snow when I went to take the photographs so they only photo I could take was of the leaves behind. This was the hardest photo to replicate and think that overall it is the most unsuccessful photo I had taken. There just wasn’t a cluster of leaves where I was and I couldn’t make out what the white was on the original photo was to replicate it.

The final image to the right I believe I replicated as close to the original as I could. To take the image I actually got into a flowing stream. I think that the subject in the photo I got was correct with the water flowing over the sticks, although again, I couldn’t get the ice in the image as it wasn’t that time of season and that something I cant control. Although overall I think that the colours I got were similar and the overall photo just looks similar and is the same. I could have angled the camera down a bit more to make it look more like the original and taken the picture where the water wasn’t flowing so much but overall I am happy with this photograph.
