Desun Hospital & Heart Research Institute is a 300 bed hospital founded and promoted

by Mr. Sajal Dutta.

Overlooking the 160 feet wide E M Bypass at Kasba Golpark in South Kolkata, the

sprawling 10 storied hospital is spread across 250,000 sq. ft.

DESUN is a Superspecialty Cardiac Hospital also offering multispeciality medical

services like plastic surgery treatment and heart surgery treatment.

A Not For Profit Hospital

Sri Aurobindo Seva Kendra has a NABL accredited Pathology Section and is the first

hospital in Kolkata to obtain ISO 9001-2008. It was certified by Bureau Veritas. EEDF

(Economic Entrepreneurship Development Foundation) Health Centre was founded in

February 1971 by the late Dr. S.C. Dutt, the founder Chairman & Managing Director of

the DC group of companies. Dr. Dutt was the first one to introduce treatment under one

ceiling in Kolkata, West Bengal. His vision was to provide health care services to the

middle & lower middle class sections of society and to the employees of DC group at an

affordable rate in a comfortable environment. The Health Centre began by rendering

services from 3 rented houses in Jodhpur Park and in a mobile medical van where doctors

and nurses were present to take care of the patients. In 1991, it moved to a new buildingand was named Sri Aurobindo Seva Kendra.

PHARMACY

Sri Aurobindo Seva Kendra has a 24 hour pharmacy. It offers 10% discount to the senior

citizens from the OPD. There is a provision to deliver medicines at ones door step within

a radius of 2 kilometres from the hospital.

IMMUNIZATION

Inoculation of new born babies with the standard requirements is available. Adult

immunization can also be availed for people traveling out of the country.

Training programmes to improve hard and soft skills are held regularly for employees

from all departments of the hospital. Final year students pursuing hospital management

from various institutes undertake internships here.

Sri Aurobindo Seva Kendra has a cafeteria in the IPD to provide refreshments to patient

parties and in the OPD for outdoor patients as well as consultants.
