film and business events industries. We are committed to the
growth and development of both industries, and our publications
are resources for the local industry and a source of information to
international industry members.
We publish The Event, Africa’s Leading Meetings Industry
Magazine, the Event Planner’s Guide to Africa (which was
launched at Meetings Africa 2013 and is endorsed by SANCB), We
are also experienced at custom publishing, having designed the

upcoming SITE Conference, and Sports and Events Tourism
Exchange. We also publish The Callsheet, Africa’s Leading Film
Industry Magazine, The Filmmakers Guide to Africa, and a range of
annuals marketing the film industry locally and internationally.

distributed at a wide range of locations, markets, festivals and events,
including: Cannes Film, Cannes Lions, The Durban International Film
Festival (DIFF) and Durban FilmMart, IMEX, EIBTM, The Loeries,
Design Indaba, American Film Market, Media Tech and so many more.

INTRODUCING THE LOERIES & CREATIVE WEEK EXPO
The Loeries, in partnership with Film & Event Media, are proud to introduce The Loeries Creative Week Expo, taking place from 19-21 September 2013 at the historic City Hall in Cape Town.
The Loeries encompass all areas of brand communication in Africa and the Middle East and is considered by many to be the creative Mecca of the brand communication community.
The Expo takes place alongside the awards weekend and serves as the culmination of Creative Week that runs in the week leading up to the Loeries.
Creative Week Cape Town started as a legacy event for Cape Town’s World Design Capital 2014 bid. The Loeries Crea-tive Week Expo aims to put this creativity and innovation on display by inviting a limited twenty influential companies to this premium exhibition space.
WHY EXHIBIT?Exhibitors will not only gain exposure to South Africa’s brand communication community, including thousands of indus-try movers and shakers, but also the international delegates attending the Loeries Seminar as well as over 4,000 award ceremony guests who will be registering at City Hall. By exhibiting, companies will automatically be part of the biggest brand communication event of the year, and be able to network with South Africa’s top brands and decision makers.
The Loeries International Seminar of Creativity, Registration and Student Portfolio Day will all take place at City Hall dur-ing the Expo, guaranteeing a footfall of thousands of industry delegates.

THE BACKGROUNDThe Loeries were first held in 1978, as a mechanism to support and grow television advertising. Since then the awards have expanded to encompass every area of brand communication including radio and print, design, architecture, direct marketing, non-broadcast video, live events, and digital media.
Since 2005 the Loeries has grown to incorporate activities throughout the calendar year to promote creative excellence, including the Loeries Exhibition, Creative Future Scholarship, Migrate magazine, Official Rankings, and Archive.
The Travelling Exhibition showcases the year’s winning work and has travelled throughout South Africa. It has visited educational institutions, corporate headquarters, festivals, and museums - as well as international destinations including Namibia, Botswana, Russia and the One Club in New York.
Loeries Creative Week Cape Town started in 2010 as a legacy event for Cape Town’s World Design Capital 2014 bid. It is a celebration of Cape Town’s creative life and includes lectures, presentations, demonstrations and networking.
Loeries Creative Week Cape Town has become one of the most important dates on the creative calendar.
