H i s t o r y1940 TOTOU has been established in Tokyo for production and sale

of Resistance Wires and Magnet Wires.1943 The factory has been transferred to Nagano prefecture in order to

avoid air strike.1952 A factory has been set up in Maruko town (Maruko factory) .1957 Production of Deflection Yoke for TV has started.1961 A factory has been set up in Ueda city (Ueda factory).

Production of Communication Cables has started. 1972 Production of CRT Display has started. 1996 A subsidiary has been established in Indonesia. 2003 A subsidiary has been established in Zhejiang in China.2009 Magnet Wire business has been transferred to

Furukawa Magnet Wires.2012 Furukawa Electric has become our parent company.

HDD Assembly business has been separated as a company, which is a newly-established Joint-Venture company.

2013 Display business has been transferred to JVC Kenwood.A subsidiary has been established in Philippines.
